The Woman in the Moon was a moon goddess revered by the Atlanteans. According to their legends, a tiger that was being chased by hunters called out to the goddess for help. She flung down a vine for him to climb up to safety, and he lived with her in the moon for many years. Since then, all tigers worship the moon with roars in the night.[1]
