Thais is the name of an alleged concubine of Ptolemy I, a general of Alexander the great and founder of ptolemaic, hellenistic Egypt, and its royal house. According to legend Thais was responsible for the burning of the royal palace of conquered Persia. All in all Stygia resembles a very dark and highly magical ptolemaic Egypt more than anything else.
